About the role
- Category Manager responsible for sourcing and supply management in Technology Infrastructure. Leading strategic sourcing initiatives and managing supplier relationships.
Responsibilities
- Managing all demand and supply management activities for categories of spend
- Optimizing the total cost of ownership and managing supplier risk
- Driving collaboration and ensuring engagement across TSSM
- Actively managing pipeline of projects and ensuring project delivery
- Developing fit-for-purpose category strategies for the organization
- Implementing category strategies and driving maximum value
- Leading cross-functional teams in development of category specifications, RFI, RFPs, contracts, and sourcing project plans
- Performing market data analysis for negotiations and supplier selection
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree is required
- 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in sourcing (and related functions)
- Knowledge of the market, suppliers and cost drivers
- Demonstrated experience with managing matrixed supplier relationships
- Ability to learn content quickly and apply a strategic lens to category spend
- Track record of success in supplier consolidation and driving spend to preferred suppliers
- Demonstrated ability to develop client relationships
- Proficient analytical skills
- Proficient project management and time management skills
- Proficient business acumen
- Proficient negotiation and influencing skills
- Proficient interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, particularly at the management level
