Senior Level Designer at Tripledot to craft and design levels for successful puzzle titles. Collaborating with teams to analyze data and optimize player retention.
Responsibilities
Evaluate player data, identify trends, and optimize level funnels for retention and monetization.
Collaborate cross-functionally with developers to align level design with overall product goals.
Analyse level data to identify high-churn points and other friction in the funnel, then propose clear, data-informed hypotheses and experiments to improve performance.
Playtest a wide range of in-development games, providing structured, actionable feedback on level pacing, difficulty curves, challenge, rewards and overall player experience.
Work with data partners to frame the right questions, refine tracking needs and interpret results to continuously iterate on level design.
Communicate level design insights and recommendations clearly and concisely to non-design stakeholders, ensuring decisions are understood and executed effectively.
Act as a consultant/subject-matter expert: reviewing builds, giving structured feedback, defining experiments and driving best practices in level design.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising effectively and staying organised in a fast-moving environment.
Requirements
At least 3+ years of experience as a level designer, or in a similar field.
Deep understanding of game design principles, mechanics, and monetization, particularly in the puzzle genre.
Strong creative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to align design with the product vision.
Advanced analytical skills, ability to spot patterns and trends.
Experience with balancing levels and funnel optimization.
Familiarity with Unity 3D editors is a plus but not mandatory.
