Responsibilities
Manage the design and engineering of complex rockwork structures
Manage technical coordination of rockwork design documents, models, specifications, and basis of design with various disciplines and Rockwork Contractor
Lead the technical coordination of rockwork design and construction
Organize and develop project design criteria, engineering work plans, rockwork schedules, and meetings
Facilitate quality assurance and control of design documentation and field construction
Direct project team members on coordination and integration activities related to the scope of work
Participate in regularly scheduled project meetings with project team, consultants, and contractors
Provide project teams with rockwork design and construction details, lessons learned, and standards information
Monitor work progress to ensure technical quality and production requirements are met
Answer construction bid period questions and resolve field issues
Provide technical direction to in-house engineers and designers
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited engineering school with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
Professional Engineer license in Civil Engineering
Working knowledge of structural engineering including current technologies and codes, with concentration in the areas of steel and concrete structures.
Working knowledge of the structural engineering discipline, including industry practices, construction methods and materials, codes, current technology and the preparation and use of contract documents in all phases of design and construction
Knowledge of the use analytical software for structural engineering design
6 or more years of work experience in structural and/or rockwork engineering
Construction phase experience including the submittal/shop drawing review process and on-site field inspections
