About the role
- Procurement Category Manager responsible for sourcing contract manufacturing services for Clorox brands. Leading cross-functional teams and strategic supplier relationships to maximize cost savings.
Responsibilities
- responsible for sourcing of external (contract) manufacturing services for various Clorox businesses
- Strategy development, sourcing, forecasting, negotiation, contracting, supplier management, and leadership of cross functional teams
- Plan and lead projects/ sourcing initiatives for the contracting of goods and/or services from US and international suppliers
- includes investigation and understanding of the global marketplace for assigned commodities
- development, negotiation and management of supply contracts
- proactively evaluate business opportunities to maximize cost savings, providing the best quality and service
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- 7 years’ supply chain/related industry experience
- 5 years’ experience in Sourcing related activities
- Position will require the candidate to be in manufacturing environment with rotating equipment, elevated surfaces, temperature variations etc.
