About the role
- Senior Accounts Payable Analyst ensuring correct freight payments and financial reporting. Collaborating on continuous improvement processes in a dynamic logistics environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure freight payments are made correctly by reconciling amounts and confirming there are no discrepancies
- Monitor all payments to ensure they are executed on time through tracking and controls, avoiding interest, fines or service interruptions
- Manage the daily bank balance using cash inflow and outflow indicators to guarantee availability of financial resources for operations
- Monitor accounts payable aging and advances, ensuring there are no outstanding items in violation of internal policies
- Oversee reconciliations and the posting of paid amounts in the ERP system, ensuring the accounting close is completed within established deadlines
- Monitor provisions for invoices not yet received, analyze outstanding items and ensure proper projection of impacts on financial results
- Ensure payments are scheduled according to the SLA defined in the payment policy, guaranteeing compliance with established deadlines
- Prepare management reports and accounts payable performance indicators, providing strategic information to management
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, proposing solutions and optimizations to increase efficiency, reduce risk and standardize processes
- Guide and support other members of the accounts payable team, sharing knowledge and best practices
- Support, when necessary, accounts receivable and procurement processes, ensuring deadlines, compliance and operational efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting or Engineering
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in the finance area (Accounts Payable)
- Experience preparing management reports and financial indicators
- Advanced knowledge of financial systems (e.g., KMM)
- Cash flow analysis and resource availability management
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Experience in Logistics/Transportation preferred
