Responsibilities
Design, develop, and test software components and systems supporting JSE capabilities.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)—from requirements analysis through development, integration, verification, and sustainment.
Contribute to the architecture and system design for scalable and maintainable software solutions.
Develop and optimize simulation software to support mission support, training, and analysis environments.
Work closely with other engineers, system integrators, and Air Force stakeholders to ensure technical accuracy and alignment with program goals.
Apply agile and DevSecOps practices for code integration, testing, and delivery.
Maintain adherence to DoD cybersecurity, software assurance, and configuration management standards.
Requirements
Active DoD Security Clearance or held within the last 12 months.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of professional experience in software engineering or system development.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C++, Python, or Java.
Experience with software design, development, integration, and testing in complex system environments.
Understanding of software version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
