Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources.
Build and optimize PostgreSQL relational database structures and ensure data integrity across systems.
Develop and maintain data integration scripts and automation workflows using Python and SQLAlchemy.
Implement pipeline automation and version control workflows using GitLab CI/CD.
Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to define data requirements and ensure timely, accurate delivery.
Conduct performance tuning, data modeling, and query optimization to support analytics and visualization needs.
Maintain compliance with DoD data security policies and handle classified data in accordance with clearance requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Possess a current/or recent (within the last 12 months) U.S. Government Security Clearance/Department of Defense Clearance.
5+ years of professional experience in data engineering, analytics, or software development.
Strong proficiency in Python, including libraries such as SQLAlchemy and Pandas.
Experience working with ETL processes, PostgreSQL, and relational database design.
Familiarity with GitLab for version control, CI/CD, and pipeline automation.
Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams in a mission-driven environment.
Ability to interface with customers from both a technical and programmatic context.
