About the role
- Backend Engineer Student involved in developing backend services and APIs for healthcare solutions. Collaborating with senior engineers and gaining hands-on experience in a production environment.
Responsibilities
- Take part in the development of backend services and APIs used in our core platform.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code under guidance of senior backend engineers.
- Participate in designing and implementing new features and improvements.
- Work with databases and data models in production environments.
- Assist in debugging, testing, and improving system reliability and performance.
Requirements
- 2nd year student pursuing a B.Sc. in Computer Science
- Strong foundation in programming fundamentals and object-oriented concepts.
- Knowledge of at least one backend-oriented programming language (e.g. Java, C#, Python, Node.js) – academic experience is sufficient.
- Familiarity with databases (SQL) and basic data structures.
- Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Availability for a part-time position (25-30h a week), with flexibility around academic commitments.
- High level of English.
- Prior experience in backend development (academic projects, personal projects, military/technological unit).
- Familiarity with REST APIs, Git, or cloud environments.
