About the role
- Inventory Analyst responsible for enhancing inventory accuracy and operational efficiency at Sysco; collaborating across departments and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining KPIs and dashboards to monitor: Inventory accuracy, Service levels, Error rates, Team productivity
- Generating regular and ad-hoc reports to support departmental decision-making
- Providing insights into team performance and operational trends
- Delivering training to the wider team to ensure: Process consistency across teams and sites, Alignment with best practices, Standardising and documenting inventory processes
- Collaborating with other departments to: Review performance data, Identify root causes of issues, Support corrective actions
- Leading and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Acting as a key contact for performance reviews and cross-functional discussions
- Driving improvements within the DCI team to enhance understanding of customer issues
- Identifying and implementing automation opportunities to streamline inventory-related processes
- Participating in ad hoc projects as required
- Other duties as assigned by the Senior Inventory Management Team
Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience in inventory analysis or related field
- Strong analytical and reporting skills with advanced Excel proficiency
- Experience with warehouse management systems and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present insights clearly
- Commercially minded and results-driven
- Ability to influence and collaborate across departments
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Self-starter with strong time management and organisational skills
- Knowledge of inventory control best practices and applicable industry regulations
