About the role
- Technical Accounting Analyst handling individual life reinsurance treaties and performing data quality checks. Collaborating with clients to ensure accurate financial reporting within tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the accurate and timely administration of individual life and related retrocession treaties for assigned client companies
- Perform reasonableness checks for both premium and policy data quality
- Manage cash allocations and disbursements
- Communicate often with external clients and internal stakeholders to provide outstanding client service
- Book client premiums and policy level data for regulatory & financial reporting purposes
- Work within tight deadlines to meet cash close dates along with recency and key performance indicator targets
- Escalate & communicate timely material financial and policy variances or deviations
- Create & maintain policy information and assure treaty compliance on records and reports
- Maintain strong relationships with external clients
Requirements
- 1-2 years experience in Insurance, Accounting or Finance environment or a Bachelor's degree
- Proven analytical skills that complement strong math skills with the ability to suggest creative solutions
- Possess strong computer skills with the ability to adapt quickly to various applications and systems
- Ability to work independently after initial training period
- Proven organizational & time management skills; able to handle multiple priorities within tight deadlines
- Experience with Power Query/Power BI preferred
- LOMA/ARA designations in progress nice to have
