About the role
- Cybersecurity Engineer managing complex IT environments and providing support for clients. Involved in cloud, cybersecurity, and managed services within a dynamic startup environment.
Responsibilities
- Support and optimization of complex client environments of up to 1,500 workstations
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level support to colleagues and client IT departments
- Configuration of firewalls, VPNs, routing, switching and WLAN solutions
- Implementation of solutions for hybrid work, endpoint management, collaboration and identity management
- Planning, implementation and migration of IT infrastructures
- Direct collaboration with our clients' IT departments
- Proactive monitoring of relevant customer systems and IT services
- Documentation and development of best practices
- Contributing expertise to larger projects and teamwork
- Proactively further developing the services
Requirements
- Self‑initiative and a strong sense of responsibility
- Completed IT training and several years of professional experience in a larger IT department or with an IT service provider (preferably with managed services)
- Hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows 11 and hybrid work scenarios — not just from documentation, but implemented for customers
- Networking experience: routing, switching, VLANs, Wi‑Fi and firewalls (pfSense, Fortinet or similar)
- Knowledge of Windows Server environments (AD, file services, DNS, DHCP) and migrations
- Experience with backup and storage solutions
- Awareness of cybersecurity and the ability to respond quickly to potential attacks
- Experience with RMM, PSA or other MSP tools is a plus
- Fluent German and solid English skills
