About the role
- Finance Manager overseeing financial operations, accounting, and budget for Housing and Dining at student affairs. Supervising teams and ensuring compliance with fiscal policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- supervise the Housing & Dining Financial Customer Services Team
- provide financial accounting and analysis for the university’s Housing and Dining System
- prepare, reconcile, and analyze general ledger entries
- extract data from the university accounting system and import data into Quickbooks
- analyze compliance with fiscal policies and procedures
- provide training to prevent further issues
- prepare data analysis and summary reporting for decision-making purposes
- develop, implement and maintain financial reporting systems
- assist in developing and refining the operating budget
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- four (4) years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
- at least one (1) year of supervisory experience
- Experience with a desktop accounting system such as QuickBooks
- Experienced in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Experience extracting data from general ledger accounting systems and providing analysis using tools such as Excel and/or Access.
