Senior Process Engineer responsible for wastewater treatment design and project leadership at Stantec. Engaging in strategic pursuits and leading technical project delivery for water facilities.
Responsibilities
Use management and technical abilities to complete the process design of wastewater projects
Lead a team of design professionals and technicians to deliver projects involving the design of water and wastewater treatment facilities
Engage directly in identifying, pursuing, and winning strategic biosolids pursuits in the region (10-40% of time)
Identify market trends and drivers for the Biosolids Sector and help develop and execute business plans (10-20% of time)
Lead technical approach development and delivery for sector projects (50-70% of time)
Manage a team and/or construction quality assurance staff providing observation and reporting services
Management and/or technical leadership of water and wastewater infrastructure projects
Interact with clients and internal leadership regarding status of project scope, schedule, and budget
Apply and share experience/knowledge of treatment, wastewater collection, and water system design
Lead preparation of engineering reports and construction documents
Research and understand issues related to wastewater and water resources impacting projects
Ensure project requirements are met in a timely manner
Provide project oversight, coordination, and problem solving for multiple projects under construction concurrently
Be an active member in a local civil, environmental, or water related public works professional organization
Requirements

Efficient project execution of multiple concurrent projects
Can develop construction cost estimates
Proficient in Microsoft Project or Primavera project and able to develop design and construction schedules
Technical expert in all relevant areas of design and understanding of various construction methods
Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite and Adobe/Bluebeam
Familiar with relevant 2D and 3D design software (Autodesk and Bentley), which may include AutoCAD Civil3D, Revit, Plant3D, Biowin, Aspen, InfoWORKS, WaterCAD, GPS-X, Visual MINTEQ and HADES, in accordance with expertise
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil/Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution
Masters of Science in Civil/Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution preferred
Licensed Professional Engineer
Minimum of 12+ years of experience or the combination of education and experience
Design, construction, and management experience in the US South preferred
