- Supplier Manufacturing Engineer at Curtiss-Wright supporting engineering design, testing, and production processes with a focus on cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and reports to support design decisions and provide technical information to engineers, production teams, and cross-functional stakeholders (25%).
- Contribute to product development by writing performance requirements, reviewing customer specifications and proposals, and evaluating feasibility, cost, and maintenance considerations (20%).
- Support production activities by coordinating manufacturing methods, fabrication processes, and operational requirements to ensure adherence to design and performance specifications (20%).
- Assist with system and equipment design by specifying components, supporting structural design activities, and providing feedback to design engineers based on customer needs and field observations (20%).
- Participate in testing, troubleshooting, and equipment investigations by designing test apparatus, diagnosing failures, recommending corrective actions, and overseeing installation, operation, and maintenance activities (15%).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- 4–6+ years of engineering experience with exposure to design, analysis, testing, or production support
- Ability to read and interpret engineering documents, drawings, and specifications
- Experience supporting manufacturing methods, fabrication processes, and production operations
- Understanding of equipment troubleshooting, failure diagnosis, and corrective action practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Effective communication skills for working with cross-functional engineering and production teams
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced engineering or production environment
