About the role

Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for controlling for the strategic business area Energy and will support managers with transparent financial analyses, sound decision-making foundations and active guidance to achieve targets.
- Manage planning processes within the business area, align them with group-wide requirements and ensure an integrated, timely planning cycle.
- Prepare performance reports, profit forecasts, variance analyses and profitability calculations, and derive concrete management actions.
- Act as a business/financial sparring partner for managers, develop well-founded recommendations for decisions and actions, and deliver audience-appropriate reports.
- Develop measures together with responsible stakeholders to optimize results and targets, support their implementation and transparently track effectiveness.
- Further develop controlling systems and processes with a focus on performance monitoring in the energy sector.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Business Administration, Economics or a comparable qualification.
- Ideally experience in controlling/financial management in the energy sector or adjacent industries.
- Solid knowledge of controlling methods and business management instruments such as cost accounting, financial and investment analysis.
- Confident use of relevant systems and tools, e.g. SAP CO/FI/BW, MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and interconnected thinking skills to assess complex economic relationships.
- High sense of responsibility, structured and goal-oriented way of working.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
