Responsibilities

• Oversee SPUR’s individual membership program and grow the mid-level donor base
• Implement annual appeals and identify new donors
• Steward existing donors and utilize data for decision-making
• Develop membership renewal, recapture, and acquisition strategies
• Manage a portfolio of 75-100 mid-level donors
• Support Silver SPUR Awards fundraising efforts
• Develop metrics for individual membership campaigns
• Assist in developing donor reports for fundraising
• Maintain visibility and availability in the community

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in membership operations
• Strong track record of relationship-based business development, fundraising or marketing
• 3-4 years of experience in cultivating and soliciting individual gifts
• 3-4 years of experience in managing memberships
• Interest in urban and public/civic affairs
• Comfort and willingness to ask for money
• Self-directing initiative
• Keen sense of judgment to handle complex donor relationships
• Proven effective communication skills (written and verbal)
• High attention to detail
• Ability to adapt to existing systems and improve upon them
• Proficient use of Salesforce, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
