Responsibilities
Leading and supporting a team of administrative staff across the cluster, ensuring workloads are shared fairly and the team delivers a high‑quality, people‑focused service that helps the wider team and service achieve their goals
Working closely with senior managers to prepare briefing papers, reports, communications, and presentations, including interpreting statistical information and carrying out research where needed, while ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and within agreed timescales
Keeping staff records accurate and up to date, including contractual changes, payroll information, and training records
Producing clear written and financial reports for management, ensuring information and data are presented in line with organisational and regulatory standards
Overseeing project budgets, managing work request orders, coordinating stationery supplies, and handling petty cash, including accurate reconciliation
Requirements
Business Administration or Management S/NVQ Level 3, or equivalent experience
A collaborative approach to working within a team, showing tact, diplomacy, and the confidence to guide or direct colleagues when needed
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of people
A proven ability to liaise with senior external stakeholders and coordinate key activities in a professional and timely manner
Confidence in managing tasks or projects independently, ensuring they are completed accurately and on schedule
High‑level proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Oracle and PowerPoint
The ability to provide clear direction to a team, using a flexible and supportive management style that helps staff grow, develop, and achieve their goals
