About the role
- Forward Deployed Engineer turning operational needs into software solutions at AI-first company SPREAD. Building data integrations and user-facing applications while working closely with customer teams.
Responsibilities
- Partner with customer stakeholders to understand workflows, constraints, and goals
- Identify relevant data sources across established system landscapes
- Extend SPREAD’s info-model when needed (GraphQL schema)
- Build data mappings and integration flows with our internal ETL/mapping tooling
- Deliver user-facing solutions in two ways
- Communicate progress and trade-offs clearly with Product, Value Realization, and Engineering
- Travel occasionally to customer sites when it meaningfully improves discovery, alignment, or rollout
Requirements
- 4+ years of engineering experience delivering software in real-world environments
- Strong hands-on skills in JavaScript or TypeScript and React
- Ability to write complex SQL confidently
- Practical understanding of ETL and data integration fundamentals
- Comfort in customer-facing settings
- Delivery mindset and ownership
- Strong plus GraphQL experience
