About the role
- Manual QA Engineer ensuring reliability and performance of Splitit’s global installment-payment platform. Validating complex payment flows and driving quality best practices across teams.
Responsibilities
- Ensure high-quality delivery of Splitit’s payment products by executing comprehensive test plans across web, mobile-web, and backend systems.
- Improve QA processes, testing documentation, and quality frameworks to support rapid product releases in a fintech environment.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Support teams to identify risks, clarify requirements, and ensure test coverage for new features and enhancements.
- Lead end-to-end testing of payment flows, merchant onboarding journeys, and API integrations with partners.
- Drive a culture of quality by mentoring team members, promoting best practices, and ensuring teams deliver independently with high quality.
- Participate in release readiness reviews and provide clear go/no-go recommendations based on test results.
- Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide actionable insights to engineering teams.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of hands-on experience as a Manual QA Engineer, preferably in fintech, payments, or other highly regulated domains.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and testing best practices.
- Experience testing web applications, APIs, and backend systems.
- Strong knowledge of functional, usability, regression, sanity, and performance-related manual testing.
- Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries to validate data integrity and payment transaction flows.
- Experience with Postman and API testing tools.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Experience working with JIRA, TestRail, or similar test management tools.
- Advantage: Experience working with payment systems, transaction processing, or merchant integrations.
