Responsibilities
Execute period-end closing processes in a timely manner.
Conduct critical SOX control procedures including Contract Review, Customer Rebate Management, Debit/Credit memo review, Inventory Aging analysis, Restructuring review, etc.
Analyze ledgers, detect errors, and make necessary adjustments.
Prepare various reconciliations and Review balance sheets and P&L, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate cross-functional teams to fix issues, ensuring that financial statements are complete and accurate.
Process various accounts payable invoices, reconcile with vendors, and make accruals when it’s needed.
Participate in internal audits and on-site peer audits.
Create customer billings and intercompany billings.
Audit expense report, claim sales tax recovery, sort out unclaimable expense reasons, and provide recommendations.
Explore opportunities to streamline processes, introduce advanced tools or customized reports to improve efficiencies.
Prepare and maintain various reports.
Assist with corporate tax provision, annual return, and support tax audits.
Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain a high quality and professional level of customer service to both internal and external customers.
Stay up to date with accounting concepts, practices, and procedures.
Support and maintain various divisions and business unit financial processes.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
3-5 years related experience; manufacturing accounting experience preferred
CPA considered an asset or working towards CPA certification
Knowledge of accounting/finance principles
Advanced excel (Vlookup, Pivot, Macro, Sumif, etc) skills to deal with data analysis
Experience with ERP systems is a plus
Must be hands-on, detail and results-oriented and able to consistently meet deadlines
Ability to manage and prioritize various activities simultaneously
Ability to perform non-routine assignments with minimal supervision/guidance
Can-do attitude, and an ability to foster teamwork and work effectively with cross functional teams
Self-starter, highly motivated with a keen desire to get things done
