Senior Labor Compliance Specialist providing advanced compliance oversight for complex construction projects. Supervising a team of Compliance Specialists while ensuring regulatory adherence and audit readiness.
Responsibilities
Provide overall labor compliance leadership for an assigned geographic region.
Independently manage complex labor compliance obligations for internal self-perform work and multi-tier subcontractors.
Review, analyze, and audit Certified Payroll Reports (CPRs) and supporting documentation.
Interpret and apply complex labor compliance requirements.
Conduct proactive compliance audits and risk assessments.
Serve as the primary point of contact for client, third-party, and government audits.
Directly supervise, mentor, and develop a team of assigned Labor Compliance Specialists.
Collaborate with project teams, legal, payroll, and external stakeholders for compliant monitoring and reporting strategies.
Requirements
Minimum of 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in labor compliance on state- and/or federally funded construction projects.
Demonstrated experience serving in a lead, senior, or supervisory capacity.
Advanced, working knowledge of California labor laws and regulations.
Proven expertise in prevailing wage enforcement, certified payroll auditing, risk assessment, and labor compliance investigations.
Experience managing compliance activities across multiple projects, contractors, and geographic regions.
Strong people leadership skills, including the ability to coach, develop, motivate, and hold team members accountable.
High proficiency with labor compliance and payroll monitoring systems (e.g., LCPtracker).
