About the role
- Senior Accountant & Controller at snuggs ensuring accurate financial reporting and overseeing monthly audits in a rapidly growing startup environment. Seeking an experienced finance professional to strengthen financial processes.
Responsibilities
- Support preparation of accurate monthly performance report and analyze variances to ensure transparency for leadership
- Lead the month-end closing processes to ensure timely and error-free results
- Ensure timely and accurate financial statements preparation for group entities incl. cooperation with external accounting providers
- Coordinate external audits by preparing required documentation and serving as the primary point of contact
- Monitor departmental spending and enforce fiscal discipline to keep the organization within its financial guardrails
- Prepare and oversee reconciliations and validate data integrity to ensure the total reliability of the general ledger
- Identify reporting process gaps and implement controls to mitigate risk and increase efficiency
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in financial controlling, accounting, or audit
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA, ACCA, CMA or similar qualification is preferred
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Odoo) and expert-level Excel skills
- English at B2+ level, Czech fluency required
- Proven track record in managing external audits and implementing internal control frameworks
- Deep understanding of local GAAP and IFRS to ensure reporting compliance
- High attention to detail with the professional backbone to enforce budget discipline and financial policies.
