About the role

Responsibilities
- provide technical leadership to the squads across the product area who are responsible for building, deploying, and maintaining applications in AWS
- drive execution of multiple development work streams while ensuring design and architecture is scalable, resilient, and extensible
- contribute by developing solutions that help improve developer efficiency and share knowledge about new techniques and technologies
- ensure technology decisions and implementation align with Fidelity’s architecture standards and strategies
- evaluate and recommend technology and frameworks for flexibility, long-term viability, and time to market
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
- 12+ years’ experience designing, developing, and operating REST based web services and distributed systems
- Go (Golang) is required
- Proven experience building and deploying software solutions utilizing public cloud provider services, with strong preference for AWS
- Experience building and operating containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, specifically Terraform
- Experience working with backend relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL
- Experience building modern web applications using TypeScript and React
- Experience with CI/CD tools and practices
