About the role
- Assistant Bookkeeper supporting Account Managers in daily bookkeeping functions for clients at SingerLewak. Performing various accounting tasks, including journal entries and bank reconciliations.
Responsibilities
- Supports Account Managers in the Business Management department by performing day-to-day bookkeeping functions with attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness
- Assists Account Manager by performing day-to-day bookkeeping functions for clients
- Prepares journal entries
- Performs bank reconciliations and traces discrepancies
- General communication with vendors
- Assists with clients’ payroll
- Assists with Month-end and Quarter-end duties, including compilation of financials, sales tax and payroll tax returns
- Assists in the preparation of 1099s and W-2s for clients
- Assists Account Manager with special projects
Requirements
- High School diploma required
- One plus years of bookkeeping experience preferred
- One plus years of experience in AgilLink and/or QuickBooks preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
Benefits
- This is a non-exempt position and is therefore eligible for overtime at 1.5 times the hourly rate.
