About the role
- Data Engineer designing and optimizing Azure-based data platforms for enterprise analytics. Developing scalable data pipelines and enabling insights through Power BI and Azure Synapse Analytics.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain end to end Azure data architectures, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Build and optimize Azure Synapse Analytics (Dedicated SQL Pool / Serverless SQL Pool) data warehouses.
- Develop ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Synapse Pipelines and Azure Data Factory.
- Design dimensional data models following Star Schema and Snowflake methodologies.
- Develop and optimize Power BI datasets, semantic models, DAX measures, and dashboards.
- Implement data security and governance, including Row-Level Security (RLS) and best practice data governance standards.
- Troubleshoot performance issues across data pipelines, data models, and BI layers.
- Mentor junior engineers, review code, and contribute to architectural and technical decision making.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering.
- Strong hands on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics or Azure Data Factory.
- Advanced SQL expertise, including performance tuning and complex data transformations.
- Solid experience with Power BI (data modeling, DAX, dataset optimization).
- Experience developing ETL/ELT workflows with ADF/Synapse Pipelines.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, BI architecture, and modern data stack concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative global environment.
