About the role
- Staff Platform Engineer responsible for designing AWS Infrastructure and delivering analytical solutions at Securonix. Collaborates with engineering Directors, Clients, and Managed Services teams.
Responsibilities
- Designing and deploying AWS Infrastructure based on customer requirements to deliver analytical solutions
- Working closely with engineering Directors, Clients, and Managed Services teams
- Designing and implementing secure, scalable, and high-performance AWS cloud environments to support diverse workloads
- Developing automation-first solutions for cloud data services provisioning, integrating IAM, networking, security policies as code, and observability
- Collaborating with developers and internal stakeholders to deliver automated, cloud-native, and AI-ready solutions
- Implementing fully automated, resilient, and observable infrastructure with FinOps best practices to enable cloud IaaS and PaaS services
- Architecting BYOC and BYOK solutions to ensure compliance with security and governance policies
- Developing cloud-native and hybrid architectures for Big Data applications, Snowflake, Hadoop, Kafka, and Solr
- Monitoring security analytics to protect cloud infrastructure
- Implementing IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation, and AWS CDK
- Automating cloud infrastructure deployment and configuration to ensure consistency and scalability
- Developing CI/CD pipelines for cloud infrastructure using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and AWS CodePipeline
- Designing and deploying containerized workloads using Amazon EKS and best practices for microservices architecture
- Optimizing Kubernetes workloads, including security policies, networking, and auto-scaling
- Implementing Kubernetes observability using Prometheus, Grafana, and AWS CloudWatch
- Architecting and enforcing security best practices for data protection, IAM policies, encryption (BYOK), and network security
- Implementing zero-trust security and compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR)
- Leverage AWS security services (GuardDuty, Security Hub, WAF, IAM, AWS KMS) to enhance security postures
- Designing security monitoring and analytics solutions for threat detection and incident response
- Conducting capacity planning and infrastructure rightsizing for performance tuning
- Providing architectural guidance, documentation, and mentorship to teams.
- Evaluating and recommending emerging AWS technologies to enhance cloud capabilities.
Requirements
- Minimum 10+ years of relevant working experience
- Experience in AWS services, cloud-native security, monitoring and logging tools, and Well-Architected Data Framework principles
- Experience with various CI/CD methodologies, container orchestration tools, and observability and performance monitoring technologies
- Experience working in Linux environments
- Expertise in designing secure, scalable architectures for BYOC, BYOK, Snowflake, Big Data, and Kubernetes
- Strong knowledge of AWS networking, IAM, security frameworks, encryption (BYOK), and compliance standards
- Deep understanding of Kafka, Solr, Hadoop, and security analytics platforms
- Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, Ansible
- Experience in cloud cost management and FinOps
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, preferably Terraform as mandatory
- Expertise in end-to-end applications hosted on Kubernetes, emphasizing scalability, high availability, and fault tolerance
- Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts, subnets, routing, load balancing, firewalls, and cloud security
- Experience in Cloud logging, monitoring, and observability tools
- Strong understanding of AWS billing and ability to provide cost-optimal architectural designs
- Minimum of a 4-year degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Preferred: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or AWS Security Specialty
- Experience with AI-driven security analytics and AWS-native threat detection tools.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Spark, EMR, and AI/ML workloads on AWS.
