About the role
- Senior Embedded C / Linux Developer at Secomea enhancing next-generation secure gateway platform. Collaborating on network and security solutions in a scale-up engineering environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain embedded C software on Linux-based gateway devices
- Design, implement, and maintain network-related functionality across kernel and user space
- Work hands-on with Linux networking stacks and tools
- Contribute to a Yocto-based Linux platform used across our embedded products
- Strengthen the security architecture of the platform (secure boot, hardening, updates, access control)
- Collaborate closely with backend, and hardware teams to deliver robust end-to-end networking solutions
- Debug and resolve complex issues spanning networking, security, and embedded Linux
- Ensure long-term reliability, performance, and maintainability of deployed devices
Requirements
- Strong experience with embedded C development on Linux
- Solid hands-on experience with Linux networking (TCP/IP, routing, firewalling, VPNs)
- Experience with networked embedded devices or gateway-type systems
- Experience with Yocto-based systems or similar embedded Linux build environments
- Good understanding of embedded Linux systems (kernel, drivers, user space)
- Experience with secure embedded systems
- Proficiency with cross-compilation, build pipelines, and Git
- You take ownership and drive tasks to completion
- You work effectively with incomplete requirements and turn them into clear, working solutions
- You proactively identify gaps, risks, and improvements
- You translate high-level goals into concrete technical outcomes
