About the role
- Engineer I supporting backend test processes in HDD manufacturing operations. Focus on process readiness, control, and continuous improvement with collaboration across teams.
Responsibilities
- Own and support drive backend test processes including process readiness, process control, and continuous improvement
- Ensure process readiness delivery to meet production schedules and milestones
- Perform data analysis and structured problem-solving to identify risks and improvement opportunities
- Establish, monitor, and maintain process control systems to ensure stable output quality
- Drive process productivity, yield, and efficiency improvement initiatives
- Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, and cross-functional engineering teams
- Support process change implementation including documentation and communication
- Monitor output quality and process performance to meet targets with high quality
- Present process status, risks, and improvement results to stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience in high-volume, high-precision manufacturing environments
- Hard Disk Drive (HDD) manufacturing experience preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong ownership mindset with focus on continuous improvement
- Good English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking)
- Technical Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Basic SQL for data analysis
- Basic programming skills (Python, HTML)
- Understanding of manufacturing process control
