About the role

• Advogado(a) com experiência em direitos autorais e contratos dentro do Departamento Jurídico da Santillana Brasil. Foco em um atendimento integrado e suporte a diversas áreas e temas.

Responsibilities

• Consultative practice including drafting legal opinions with a focus on copyright law, contracts, and administrative law.
• Analysis, drafting and review of contracts and documents involving editing, assignment and licensing of copyrights, use of protected works, and other intellectual property matters.
• Provide support to internal teams on issues related to copyright management and compliance for content used by the company.
• Drafting and review of commercial/corporate contracts.
• Support in negotiations and alignments with internal clients, partners, and authors.
• Analysis of public notices and documents related to bidding and public procurement processes.
• Preparation of documents related to public tenders and/or procurement exemption processes (inexigibilidade), including challenges, requests for clarification, administrative appeals, and other necessary filings.
• Representation before Courts of Accounts and in the judiciary, when applicable.
• Participation in bidding processes when required.
• Support internal teams in interpreting and applying rules and guidelines related to the PNLD (National Textbook Program), as well as in preparing related documentation.

Requirements

• Law degree.
• Active OAB registration (mandatory).
• Availability to work 100% on-site for the first three months.
• Proven experience in the main activities of the role, especially in copyright law, with a minimum of 4 years of practice as an attorney.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Postgraduate degree in Intellectual Property or Corporate Law preferred.
• Experience with legal management systems and familiarity with technology tools aimed at improving efficiency is desirable.
