Responsibilities
Analyze medical records and clinical documentation to ensure correct classification of encounters according to DRG methodology.
Support coding of diagnoses and procedures (CID/ICD, TUSS, SIGTAP or equivalents), ensuring consistency and compliance.
Verify the quality, integrity and completeness of clinical and administrative data.
Support internal audits of medical records and DRG-related processes.
Contribute to the preparation and updating of reports, performance indicators and management dashboards.
Identify inconsistencies and highlight opportunities for improvement in clinical processes and documentation.
Support analyses of performance, costs, length of stay and clinical outcomes.
Collaborate with clinical teams, billing and support departments to clarify information.
Comply with institutional policies, protocols and information quality and confidentiality guidelines.
Perform other tasks of the same nature and level of complexity as requested by the immediate supervisor.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field.
Courses or certifications in DRG, health auditing, quality of care, hospital management or data analysis.
Knowledge of clinical coding (CID/ICD and procedure coding) and fundamentals of DRG methodology.
