Principal Systems Engineer – Cybersecurity role in protecting our nation's products as part of Integrated Platform Solutions team. Develop solutions utilizing RMF, Anti-Tamper, Software Assurance, and more.
Responsibilities
YOU will implement security improvements by assessing current customer requirements and environment; evaluating trends; developing security architecture and requirements, and design architecture artifacts, plans, and policies.
YOU will support and develop Risk Management Framework (RMF) assessment documentation and conduct cybersecurity controls validation testing resulting in the Authorization to Operate (ATO) decision.
YOU will perform analysis on cybersecurity collected data and test results.
YOU will conduct cybersecurity audits and perform compliance evaluations to ensure appropriate implementation and continuous compliance of the security posture of the product system.
YOU will collaborate with engineering disciplines to minimize cybersecurity threats to the deployed designs/products.
Requirements
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 4 years’ experience.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
DoD 8570.01-M IASAE Level II or Level III Compliant Certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP, or equivalent).
Experience in Systems Engineering requirements, specifications, and experience implementing DoD and Federal IA certification, accreditation, and authorization processes, IA controls and developing and maintaining associated documentation and experience with the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) from NIST Special Publication 800-53, and as described in NIST Special Publication 800-37.
Experience with security systems and cybersecurity engineering involving embedded systems and real-time operating systems (RTOS), various computer hardware and software, operating system and application solutions in both a stand-alone and in LAN/WAN configurations.
