Responsibilities

  • Conduct patrols, monitor safety and security risks, respond to incidents, and support emergency preparedness efforts.
  • Conduct routine and ad‑hoc patrols of hospital buildings and grounds to prevent fire, theft, vandalism, unauthorized access, and safety or infection‑control hazards.
  • Document all shift activities through accurate logs, incident reports, and required written documentation.
  • Respond to security‑related incidents such as workplace violence reports, requests for escorts, and other calls for service.
  • Support emergency and safety operations, including assisting medical staff with violent, agitated, or restrained individuals.
  • Perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting and extended standing.

Requirements

  • High school or equivalent
  • Less than one year experience in general security, however 1 year security experience is preferred.
  • Must have a current New Mexico driver's license
  • Must be insurable by Presbyterian Healthcare Services
