About the role
- Senior Software Engineer designing and coding a variety of web applications at RouteSmart Technologies. Contributing to cross-platform routing systems that integrate GIS and mapping capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Lead Software Engineer and design, code, and support web applications and services
- Contribute to cross-platform routing systems integrating GIS and mapping capabilities
- Offer insights from the end-user perspective to shape user-friendly experiences
- Develop maintenance roadmaps for frameworks, libraries, and tools
- Write DDL and DML SQL commands, functions, and scripts
- Perform full stack development: client and server-side development
- Write efficient code using best practices
- Research new coding standards to improve application quality
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Working knowledge of relational databases (Postgres, MS SQL, etc.) and optimizing database queries
- Working knowledge of GIS and similar mapping services extremely useful
- Understanding of web application security, session management, and code development best practices
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Technology, or a related field
- Experience with C# and .NET Core development using Visual Studio and other Microsoft development tools
- 10+ years minimum experience as a programmer writing both client and server-side components
- Experience in planning and delivering software platforms used across multiple products and organizational units
