About the role

• Advanced Software Engineer developing embedded software solutions for Inertial Sensors and Fiber Optic Gyroscopes at Honeywell. Collaborative role within Sensing, Guidance & Navigation organization, focusing on innovative sensor technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate embedded software solutions for new product development
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams in hardware, software, systems and R&D lab to bring new product initiatives to life.
• Engage in the full software development lifecycle from concept through deployment.
• Provide ongoing support and enhancements for existing sensing and guidance products
• Work with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into detailed low-level embedded software designs and architectures.
• Architect and code embedded software solutions, ensuring scalability and performance
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of software development processes and methodologies
• Execute and/or support Integration, Test and Certification processes.

Requirements

• **YOU MUST HAVE**
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
• Embedded software engineering experience, particularly on low-level embedded software development**
• **WE VALUE**
• Proficiency across the embedded software development lifecycle
• Experience with System on Chip (SoC) and Multi-core processors
• Knowledge of Agile development processes
• Experience with Input/Output processing for A429 and Ethernet interfaces
• Knowledge of software configuration and change management practices with DOORS and Atlassian tools
• Experience with bare-metal programming, with a focus on low-level hardware interaction is of value.
• Wide degree of creativity and latitude
• Knowledge of optical systems, sensing and laser technologies is a plus, but not required. **
