Responsibilities
Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses
Maintain and reconcile revenue recognition per ASC 606 for subscription and professional service contracts
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reporting packages
Partner with FP&A, Operations, and RevOps to ensure data accuracy and alignment between systems (e.g., CRM, billing, and ERP)
Support annual audits and compliance requirements
Contribute to system implementations
Assist with ad hoc analysis and special projects, such as KPI tracking or acquisition integration
Support tax compliance activities, including preparation of information for corporate income tax filings, sales tax, and other indirect tax reporting
Manage inter-company transactions, ensuring proper recording, reconciliation, and elimination for consolidated financial statements.
Requirements
4+ years of accounting experience within a high-growth environment
At least 2 years of experience in a similar role within a technology company (SaaS experience strongly preferred)
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; advanced credentials such as CPA, CMA, or MBA are highly desirable
Solid understanding of federal, state, and local tax compliance requirements, including reporting obligations and basic regulatory knowledge
Strong proficiency in US GAAP, with hands-on experience applying ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition) in a SaaS or subscription-based business model
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking capabilities, with strong attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and professionally
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to build relationships across teams and functions
Experience leading a team, demonstrate ability to guide, mentor, and develop team members
Advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex formulas, modeling, and data analysis tools.
