About the role
- Director managing all aspects of middle market private equity fund investments for RGA. Overseeing LP commitments, driving portfolio diversification, and collaborating across teams.
Responsibilities
- Manages all aspects of middle market private equity fund investments for the PD&E group
- Oversight of LP fund commitments
- Provides support for co-investments and GP-led secondaries
- Manages relationships with existing and potential Partner Managers
- Drives portfolio diversification and optimizes risk-adjusted returns through disciplined LP investment strategies
- Collaborates with the PD&E direct investment team to source debt and equity opportunities
- Builds and maintains a pipeline of institutional-quality fund managers
- Leads due diligence processes for potential investments
- Conducts market research to analyze investment data
- Monitors investment performance and tiers managers
- Tracks portfolio returns and risk metrics
- Assesses compliance with investment objectives
- Negotiates fund documents and side letters
- Represents RGA at annual and advisory board meetings
- Presents investment recommendations to the Investment Committee
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 7+ years of experience in private equity-related industry
- Experience managing or mentoring team members
- Advanced skills in financial modeling and Microsoft Office
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and task prioritization
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
