Responsibilities
- RedCloud Technology is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a team dedicated to building and scaling our platform and related services.
- Your team will work with a modern tech stack including technologies such as AWS, C# .net, React, and Node.js to solve complex challenges for our global marketplace.
- In this role, you will build a culture of technical excellence and collaboration, drive the delivery of exceptional software, and see the direct impact of your team's work.
- You will guide your team through complex technical challenges to deliver robust and scalable solutions.
- You will foster an environment of ownership and accountability, guiding your team to deliver high-quality software predictably and efficiently.
- The Engineering Manager should come from a technical background, (preferably as a previous principal engineer or above) with a strong grasp on technology and delivering features.
- They should be technical enough to question correctly architecture and code and occasionally dipping into some coding (where time allows) to keep a broad understanding of what the team face on a day-to-day basis.
- They are expected to be highly business/customer focused with the right balance around ensuring technical debt is managed.
Requirements
- Experience leading software engineering teams, whether as an Engineering Manager, a Tech Lead, or a senior engineer.
- A track record of successfully delivering complex, high-quality software projects.
- Demonstrable experience in people management, including performance management and career development.
- A solid understanding of agile delivery frameworks and experience in refining team processes.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfort with using data and metrics to guide decision-making and report on team performance.
- Experience with cloud technologies, global systems, modern software architecture, and the application of AI in the development lifecycle (e.g. code assistants, automated reviews).
- A genuine interest in mentoring, coaching, and developing engineering talent.
