Responsibilities
Act as a trusted advisor to our international clients on topics related to Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), including electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), batteries, packaging and copyright regulations across Europe and globally.
Understand the regulatory obligations of our key customers, among them some of the largest and well-known companies in the world, and develop tailored compliance strategies. Guide clients through complex regulatory frameworks and coordinate the implementation of solutions together with our internal expert teams.
Serve as the internal subject matter expert on EPR legislation, ensuring that our organization and clients remain up to date with evolving legal requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
Monitor and analyse regulatory developments, market trends and competitive landscapes across Europe and globally to identify risks, opportunities and compliance implications for our clients.
Maintain and build strong relationships with relevant regulatory authorities, legislative bodies and industry stakeholders involved in the implementation of EPR regulations.
Collaborate with national take-back systems and compliance schemes responsible for fulfilling producers’ EPR obligations.
Share your regulatory expertise with clients and stakeholders through webinars, newsletters, LinkedIn content and other knowledge-sharing formats.
Act as a key interface between customers and internal teams, particularly our data management and reporting specialists, to ensure accurate implementation of legal requirements for WEEE, batteries, packaging, textiles and other EPR waste fractions.
Contribute to the continuous improvement and expansion of our compliance services, strengthening RLG’s position as a leading one-stop-shop for EPR compliance solutions.
Requirements
You hold a university degree, ideally in a field related to sustainability, environmental law/policy, circular economy, waste management or a comparable discipline.
You bring several years of professional experience in Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) or related regulatory compliance topics (e.g. WEEE, batteries, packaging or textiles), ideally gained in consulting, environmental compliance services, or a similar advisory role.
You have experience advising clients on regulatory requirements and are comfortable explaining complex legal or regulatory topics in a clear and practical way.
You combine strong analytical skills with a structured and solution-oriented working style, enabling you to translate regulatory developments into practical compliance solutions.
You are a confident communicator and relationship builder, able to interact with international clients, authorities and industry stakeholders.
You demonstrate a high level of initiative, ownership and attention to detail, and are comfortable working in a dynamic and international environment.
You are customer-oriented and service-minded, with a strong commitment to delivering excellent client support and building long-term partnerships.
You have excellent English language skills (written and spoken). Additional European languages are a plus.
