**Purpose:**
The Analytics Engineer plays a key role in QualDerm’s journey to becoming a data-driven organization. This position is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and visualizing data to help leaders make better decisions across clinical, operational, financial, and patient-experience functions. The Analytics Engineer will work closely with business stakeholders and the Data & Analytics team to transform raw data into actionable insights, supporting initiatives such as patient demand forecasting, call center optimization, provider utilization, and revenue cycle improvement.
The role also involves leveraging **AI-assisted tools, forecasting models, and automation platforms **to accelerate workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance the quality of analytics deliverables. The Analytics Engineer is expected to stay informed about **emerging technologies in analytics, forecasting, AI, and automation** to continually advance QualDerm’s data capabilities.
Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics needs.
Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and self-service tools in Power BI to monitor KPIs and track business performance.
Write and optimize SQL and Python to extract and transform data from Snowflake and other systems.
Collaborate with senior analysts, data engineers, and business users to ensure high-quality data and reliable reporting.
Support the design and maintenance of semantic models and the silver/gold layers of QualDerm’s medallion data architecture.
Conduct ad hoc analyses to answer key business questions related to patients, providers, call center activity, financial performance, and marketing.
Identify opportunities to **use AI, forecasting models, and automation tools **(e.g., AI copilots, anomaly detection, predictive analytics) to improve reporting and analysis workflows.
Apply knowledge of **basic forecasting concepts** (time series, seasonality, trend analysis, exogenous factors) to support forward-looking business insights.
Support data governance by validating data accuracy and documenting key business definitions.
Research and recommend **new tools, methods, and best practices **in the analytics, forecasting, and AI space to enhance QualDerm’s data platform.
Perform other essential duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, finance, computer science, or a related field.
2–4 years of experience as a Data Analyst (healthcare experience preferred).
Proficiency in SQL; familiarity with Snowflake or other cloud data warehouses.
Experience building dashboards and reports in Power BI or a similar visualization tool.
Exposure to ETL/ELT concepts and modern data tools (e.g., Fivetran, dbt, Coalesce, Matillion).
**Required: **Familiarity with forecasting and predictive modeling concepts (time series, regression, trend/seasonality).
**Preferred/Growth Opportunity: **Hands-on experience building or maintaining forecasting models using Python, Snowflake ML, or other tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Team-oriented with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Abilities, Skills, and Qualifications:
Solid foundation in data analysis, reporting, and visualization.
Familiarity with **AI/ML concepts, forecasting models, and automation platforms** preferred.
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams spanning clinical operations, finance, marketing, and IT.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
