About the role
- Associate Tech Lead driving DevOps best practices for platform experience in child digital safety technology. Collaborating with teams to enhance infrastructure and streamline delivery processes.
Responsibilities
- Work using a DevOps mindset to help teams adopt Continuous Delivery best practices
- Manage Infrastructure as Code
- Elevate quality standards through internal platforms
- Work closely with teams to understand their delivery pain points
- Design practical solutions that remove friction and accelerate their work
- Improve the life of fellow engineers on a daily basis
Requirements
- 8 years of commercial experience in Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps roles
- Experience managing cloud platforms at scale (we use GCP predominantly, but highly value experience in AWS or Azure) utilising Infrastructure as Code practices
- Experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines and optimising them for development teams (we use Cloud Build, ArgoCD, and Cloud Deploy)
- Experience working with containerisation and orchestration platforms like GKE
- A natural sense of curiosity, problem solving and continuous learning
- Great communication and collaboration skills; you take initiative and seek feedback
- Experience operating software systems in production, and a strong sense of ownership and accountability (we believe strongly in "You Build It, You Run It")
- Track record of automating away low-value tasks, reducing toil on your team
- Software development experience with languages like Java, Golang, C#
