Responsibilities
- Review and draft various legal filings and pleadings (submissions, answers/defenses, recurso inominado — appeals in small-claims/consumer courts, appeals, responses to appeals, motions for clarification (embargos de declaração), interlocutory appeals (agravo de instrumento), internal motions for review (agravo interno), and appeals to higher courts).
Requirements
- Law degree;
- Active OAB registration (Brazilian Bar Association);
- Postgraduate degree (preferred) in Civil Procedure, Consumer Law or related areas;
- Ability to critically analyze procedural documents (initial petitions, answers/defenses, appeals, and interim filings);
- Familiarity and affinity with consumer law matters.
