About the role
- Procurement Lead responsible for procurement categories and supplier relationship management at an international insurer. Focus on efficiency, profitability, and compliance in procurement operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the identification, development, and implementation of procurement categories to enhance profitability, quality, and efficiency.
- Drive the Supplier Relationship Management framework and ensure compliance with sustainable procurement practices across various spend categories and supply chain operations.
- Coordinate with the Procurement Operations team to deliver a compliant Procure to Pay system and drive service excellence.
- Provide accurate and regular reports to support informed decision-making.
- Manage and perform the sourcing and procurement activities for assigned categories.
- Review contractual and commercial ownership of sourcing agreements to ensure business case and benefit realization.
- Responsible for relationship management for assigned categories to maximize value and optimize costs.
- Support management of supplier risk and compliance obligations.
Requirements
- Some relevant work experience.
- Experience with P2P, procurement contracts and processes.
- Administration background.
- Procurement system experience.
- P2P roll-out experience.
- Negotiating vendor contracts experience.
- Budget preparation and forecasting experience.
- SRM and/or Procurement experience in service or financial-based organisations.
- Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
