About the role
- Senior Citrix Engineer for complex Citrix environments, focusing on security and large-scale VDI migrations. Remote position with occasional office presence in Frankfurt.
Responsibilities
- Operate, administer, and further develop Citrix NetScaler (ADC), with a particular focus on VPX/VP Gateway
- Implement security hardening measures and ensure compliance with current security standards
- Manage and optimize pooled and persistent VDIs in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD)
- Lead the migration of approximately 1,500 VDIs from VMware to Nutanix (AHV)
- Improve performance and stability of the VDI infrastructure
- Perform independent troubleshooting and incident resolution during live operations
- Document configurations, changes, and implemented measures
Requirements
- Several years of hands-on experience with Citrix NetScaler / ADC, especially VP Gateway
- Strong expertise in IT security and system hardening
- Proven experience administering Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD)
- Experience managing large VDI environments (1,000+ desktops preferred)
- Strong VMware experience and familiarity with Nutanix (AHV)
- Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
- German language skills at a minimum B2 level
