About the role

  • Tech Lead leading technical team in developing innovative applications for Porto Bank's digital services. Focusing on high scalability and cloud-native solutions within AWS environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical team in the development of applications.
  • Design scalable software architectures using microservices principles and agile development practices.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure application availability and scalability on AWS Cloud.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the team, fostering professional growth and technical excellence.
  • Implement and maintain best practices for security, performance and scalability.
  • Cloud-native architecture: Design solutions using the AWS ecosystem, focusing on high availability and cost optimization.
  • Frontend governance: Define standards for React architecture, ensuring monetization, performance (Core Web Vitals) and accessibility;
  • Technical mentoring: Conduct critical code reviews for both infrastructure (IaC) and complex interfaces, raising the team's technical bar;
  • Systems integration: Orchestrate frontend consumption of APIs and microservices, ensuring security (OAuth2/OpenID) and smooth interactions.
  • Automation culture: Lead the implementation of CI/CD pipelines that cover everything from SPA deployments to cloud resource provisioning.
  • Implement and maintain best practices for security, performance and scalability.

Requirements

  • Deep experience with React.js, Hooks, Context API or state management libraries (Redux/Zustand), and Next.js.
  • AWS expertise: Solid knowledge of core services: Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, EC2, API Gateway and CloudFront.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience with Terraform, AWS CDK or Serverless Framework.
  • Backend development: Proficiency in Java to support microservices.
  • Engineering practices: TDD, Clean Architecture and familiarity with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, New Relic).
