About the role
- Linux & Kubernetes Administrator managing on-premise AI hardware and Linux server infrastructures at Fronius. Supporting Data Scientists and Engineers in maintaining Kubernetes and Docker environments.
Responsibilities
- Betreuung und Wartung der Hardware für unsere On-Premise KI-Systeme.
- Technischer Support der spezialisierten Infrastruktur für Data Scientists & Engineers & andere Fachabteilungen
- Betreuung, Wartung und kontinuierliche Weiterentwicklung unserer Linux-basierten Serverinfrastruktur.
- Sicherstellung der Verfügbarkeit und Performance unserer Services auf Virtualisierungsplattformen sowie den darunterliegenden Infrastruktursystemen.
- Verwaltung und Betrieb unserer lokalen Kubernetes- und Docker-Infrastruktur.
- Unterstützung bei der Bereitstellung und dem stabilen Betrieb von KI-Anwendungen in containerisierten Umgebungen.
- Administration und Optimierung von SAN-, Block- und Object-Storage (S3) Lösungen.
- Proaktives Monitoring, Identifikation und Behebung von Systemstörungen.
- Bearbeitung von Benutzeranfragen und Umsetzung von Änderungen in der Systemlandschaft.
- Strukturierte Umsetzung von Systemoptimierungen und kontinuierliche Verbesserung der Infrastruktur.
Requirements
- Mehrjährige Berufspraxis & Ausbildung im IT-Umfeld
- Fundierte Kenntnisse in Linux-Administration (idealerweise RHEL oder Ubuntu).
- Erfahrung mit Kubernetes, Docker und containerisierten Anwendungen.
- Praktische Kenntnisse im Umgang mit Tools wie Terraform, Ansible, SaltStack oder HPE Morpheus zur Automatisierung, Provisionierung und Verwaltung von IT-Infrastrukturen.
- Administrative Kenntnisse im Bereich von Virtualisierungslösungen (KVM)
- Interesse oder Erfahrung im Bereich KI-Infrastrukturen (z. B. GPU-Server, ML-Frameworks).
- Freude am Troubleshooting und konsequenten Lösen von IT-Problemen
- Teamorientierte, selbstständige und strukturierte Arbeitsweise
- Zuverlässigkeit, zeitliche Flexibilität und Kommunikationsstärke (auch in Englisch)
