Responsibilities
Reliability: Define and monitor SLIs/SLOs and manage error budgets.
FinOps: Optimize processing costs (Spark), Azure storage, and SQL Warehouse.
Big Data Troubleshooting: Diagnose complex incidents in Spark environments and cloud networking.
Post-mortem Culture: Lead root-cause analyses to prevent recurrence of issues.
Requirements
Azure & Databricks Expertise: Minimum 1 year of experience optimizing clusters and working with the Delta Lake ecosystem.
Proactive Profile (DRE mindset): Focus on anticipating failures through advanced observability and automation (IaC), shifting from reactive to preventive approaches.
Automation: Proficient in Python to build tools that enable a self-service culture and remove operational bottlenecks.
