About the role
- Product Developer creating innovative haircare products for SHYNE and Pomelo + Co. in Berlin, collaborating closely with manufacturers and managing product development from concept to market.
Responsibilities
- Develop new product concepts in hair color and haircare
- Conduct trend and competitive analyses in the DACH region and internationally
- Work closely with our manufacturers on formulation and product development
- Manage product samples, testing and optimizations
- Define USPs, claims and product benefit statements
- Calculate target prices and margins in coordination with Finance
- Brief packaging design including claims, ingredients and compliance
- Prepare product documentation for retail pitches
- Enhance existing lines through innovation and feedback integration
- Analyze sell-out data and identify new product opportunities
Requirements
- Several years of experience in product development in the beauty or FMCG sector
- Experience with haircare or hair color
- Strong sense for trends, active ingredients and consumer needs
- Structured, independent working style
- Entrepreneurial mindset
- Excellent German and English skills
- Experience working with manufacturers and regulatory requirements
