About the role
- (Senior) Deployment Engineer overseeing the installation and commissioning of complex systems. Working for PLATH GmbH in international project environments to ensure stable operations.
Responsibilities
- Planning, installation and configuration of complex hardware and software systems (project systems)
- Support and maintenance of project systems in-house and on-site at customer locations worldwide
- Fault analysis and remediation in complex project systems
- Maintenance of system configurations
- Support of virtual and physical reference systems
- Assistance in conducting system training
- Support for software product integration
Requirements
- Successfully completed vocational training as an IT specialist in system integration or an equivalent qualification
- Initial professional experience in a comparable position, ideally with a focus on Deployment Engineering
- Experience creating and optimizing deployment processes (Puppet or Ansible, Foreman)
- Basic knowledge of administration and operation of Linux and/or Windows systems
- Ideally, initial experience with virtualization platforms such as KVM, CloudStack or Proxmox, and familiarity with various server systems and networking technologies
- Fluent in German and English
- Willingness to travel (approx. 30%)
