- Be accountable for the engineering team’s contribution to measurable customer and business impact (e.g. adoption, reliability, usage)
- Collaborate closely with business and product counterparts and other stakeholders to shape roadmaps, guide architectural decisions, and drive alignment on strategic priorities
- Champion a quality-first mindset, ensuring strong engineering practices, performance, and operational excellence
- Identify delivery bottlenecks, manage risks proactively, and drive continuous improvement in engineering practices and processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and timely delivery
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetups, fostering partnerships and serving as a role model for engineers and managers
Requirements
- A solid background in software engineering, with 3+ years of experience in a leadership role in the tech industry as an Engineering Manager, Team Lead, or in a similar people leadership role
- Ability to lead, develop, and support software engineers through clear expectations, regular feedback, coaching, and performance management
- Strong product mindset, with a focus on understanding customer problems and partnering effectively with product counterparts
- Proven ability to drive delivery and continuously improve how teams execute against a defined roadmap
- Practical experience in using AI tools and workflows and openness to growing into an AI-native way of working
- Ability to lead by example with a hands-on leadership style, staying close to the team’s technical work and challenges
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to align across engineering, product, and design teams
- Experience with hiring and growing engineering talent, including supporting career development and identifying future leaders
- You understand the value of standardization and process, while staying driven to improve them where possible
