  • Accountant responsible for financial reporting and compliance in Sao Paulo Brazil for global shipping company. Maintaining statutory compliance, supporting audits and ensuring financial operations alignment.

Responsibilities

  • The Accountant will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting and accounting activities for Sao Paulo, Brazil.
  • This position plays a key role in maintaining compliance with corporate accounting policies, supporting audits, and ensuring that financial operations align with both local and group standards.
  • The role serves as the legal accounting representative and is responsible for statutory compliance under Local GAAP and NIIF and tax regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • 5–10 years of experience in accounting, tax, controlling, and external audit in shipping and logistics.
  • Strong knowledge of NCIF / COL-GAAP (Decreto 2420 and updates), tax regulations (IVA, Renta, etc), Payroll and social security (Electronic invoicing (Factura Electrónica) and National Customs procedures.
  • Bilingual: Spanish native / English Advanced.
  • ERP knowledge: Oracle, SAP, or similar (Oracle preferred).
  • Advanced Excel (financial analysis, reconciliations, data validation).
